Joggling the Music Fest Road Race for St. Jude

It's the CMA Music Festival in Nashville this weekend, and early in the morning fans were already lining up for the concerts along the street by the convention center. We saw them as we arrived downtown to run in the Music Fest Road Race 5k to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.

Along with Jason (The Nashville Joggler) and Kristen (Playing By Air performer and Hooping for Hope trainer), I ran the 3.1 miles in downtown Nashville while juggling three balls. It's the first time I've joggled since Komen's Race for the Cure in the Fall with Team Catch It Early, and I was happy to finish in just under 36 minutes with only one drop. Running with a great group people supporting childhood cancer research and care definitely makes it easy to wake up early on a Saturday!

To learn more about St. Jude and the amazing research and care they provide for children with cancer in Tennessee, and around the world, visit www.stjude.org.

And don't miss out on an opportunity to win the Middle Tennessee dream home through the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway! The 2010 deadline to by tickets is June 27, and more information is available at www.stjudedreamhome.org.

Have a great rest of the weekend, and check back this week for more updates about the show in July and our local cancer support organizations!
